With every 92/90+ Two-Stage, Variable-Speed Gas Furnace, Maytag provides a lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger. If the heat exchanger fails withn the first 5 years we will replace the furnace with an equivalent Maytag replacement.
M1010 Dependability Promise
With every Maytag M1010 Furnace, Air Conditioner and Heat Pump we give you our Dependability Promise:
In the first five years, if the compressor fails in one of our split system air conditioners or heat pumps when installed with a matched Maytag indoor coil or air handler, we will replace the unit with an equivalent Maytag replacement.
If the heat exchanger fails in one of our M1010 furnaces or gas/electric packs in the first five years, we will replace the unit with an equivalent Maytag replacement.
If the compressor fails in one of our M1010 packaged heat pumps, air conditioner or gas/electric units in the first five years, we will replace the unit with an equivalent Maytag replacement.

The Energy Star
The Energy Star program is a voluntary labeling program lead by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy. Product featured on this site with this label meet the Energy Star requirements for product efficiencies. The product efficiency requirements for furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps are higher than the required efficiencies under U.S. Government standards.
For example, a 13 SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rate) split system air conditioner is the acceptable efficiency standard by the U.S. Government. However, an Energy Star-rated split system air conditioner requires the unit to rate at a minimum of 13 SEER to be qualified. For the consumer, higher efficiency products could mean additional savings on monthly gas and electric utilities over lower efficient products. Several factors are involved in calculating energy savings for a heating and cooling system, including the region of the country the home resides, the direction the home faces, how many windows the home has and its age, etc. These factors help determine the most beneficial heating and/or cooling system available to the consumer. You may even live in a town that offers utility rebates for higher efficiency equipment! Your Maytag licensed heating and cooling dealer can help determine the product efficiency best suited for your home. And you can also learn about energy efficient products for the home, and determine how efficient your home is today by going to www.energystar.gov.
